I just want to say Happy CHRISTtmas to all my friends.I hope to have lots of new posts to show very soon. Let's not forget, in all the hustle and madness, the real reason we celebrate at this time of year. Praise God for the wonderful gift of His Son, Jesus.

A special Christmas card for a special friend!
I can now post this card as I have delivered it to my good friend Rhonda. The card is 8" square and I used a Marianne creatables die to cut the baubles. I then stuck the cut-outs to purple mirror card and cut around them agin. The baubles were stuck to acetate and the acetate trimmed. I used sparkly lilac card to cover the bottom part of the folded card and stuck the "tree" on with foam pads. The insert is an 8" square Trimcraft paper tnat I've had in a stack for ages! I added card candi and gems to embellish the tree. The trunk is a scrap of ribbon which had green spots on but I covered them too as they didn't fit in with the colour scheme.
Can you guess Rhonda's favourite colour???

Getting Started
Well hopefully I have worked everything out and this is my first blog post. As I'm sure you will find out computers and I don't really get on too well but I've been playing about with the idea of a blog for a while. I won't promise to post every day but aim to try and put something up at least twice a week. (here's hoping!)
On to my card. This is what I have created for a friend and sister in Christ for her birthday. I have used the idea of a napkin fold card from the resources on Splitcoast Stampers. The card base is Bassil and the patterned papers are Echo Park Country Drive. I used The new Woodware border system to punch around the base. The butterfly is a Marianne Creatables die and is cut from glitter card which is not showing up too well, probably due to my poor photographic skills!!! The ribbon came from my lovely friend Heather's shop -Doodlecraft!
This is the card opened out. I used a Martha Stewart punch on the corners of my insert and tiny gems in the centre of each flower. The verse came from heavensinspirations.com
