What a hoot

Well apologies for the lateness of this post. I do have kind of an excuse. I stayed with mum Tuesday to Friday and went to a class myself. Spent some time on Saturday preparing for this weeks class. Anyway I got to tidying my craft room and in the process had one of those " light bulb" moment and ooh I AM SO EXCITED!!! I mean really really excited! I will share but .. Not just yet ! Lol ;)

Anyhoo, back to the cards. This week we played with this little critter from Woodware. She is stamped 3 times and layered up. The tulips are made from the wings. I encouraged everyone to go with their own colour choices and we had some really lovely results ranging from blues, to shades of brown. They are coloured with pro-markers and the background is stamped with rosebud Memento. Some of the ladies wanted instructions for making the diamond top folded card. I will post these later when I work out best how to explain it!

Thinking of you

Well apologies all round folks. I just seemed to completely loose my mojo last week and have got a wee bitty behind with blog updates. We did make two cards last week and this is the second offering. We used the new Papermania, Daisy and Dandelion stamps coloured with Pro-markers. There was a little 'thinking of you' sentiment stamped in dark purple inside the smaller oval but of course I got a bit ahead of myself and photographed it before doing my own!

Easter Bunny

I decided to play with the new egg shaped dies from X-cut in work yesterday, so combined them with this cute stamp. I'm not happy with the colouring on the outside and think the inside stamped on the cream card looks better. I'll put that one down to experience. The gold layer is embossed with one of the new tri-boss folders from paper mania.

Free stamp

I got this lovely stamp free with one of my magazines and just had to have a play. Lime green is not a colour I would usually go for I have to say but it works here. I created texture and interest by using glossy accents, gems and decoupaging the little yellow flower up. The butterfly is a different stamp and I've no idea where it came from! Perhaps it needs a greeting but I couldn't decide so left well enough alone. What do you think?

Christmas again.

Christmas tree.

This was a CASE of a card made by my good friend Rhonda. She used purple and lime but I wanted more traditional colours.
The stamp is from Woodware and I coloured it using Pro-markers, ruby, pine, gold, grass and cocoa. The ribbon was quite broad and looked bare so seemed like a good place to put the greeting peel off? A little bit of stickles and a card candi finish it off.

Joy card.

I got inspiration from a magazine for this card and chose contemporary colours. The pink sparkly snowflake is cut using a cuttlebug die. The letters J and Y were cut with the Cricut on ' George and basic shapes' and the O is another Woodware stamp. Again finished using pro-markers, some iridescent stickles and card candi.
